Investing in children
Two decades ago, a civil war began in Sierra Leone that lasted 11 years. Ten years on, the emotional and physical scars are still evident, particularly for the children who were forced to fight, and their struggle now is to find hope in the aftermath of the conflict.
Alvogen for Africa Foundation
Donations by the Alvogen for Africa foundation and Alvogen employees is an important way to support range of activities. Volunteerism is another, as Alvogen colleagues around the world donate their time and talent to foster their local communities.
Over the next three years, Alvogen in Africa will sponsor the education and vocational training of youths in Sierra Leone.
At the center supported by Alvogen, young people directly affected by the civil war will have the opportunity to learn a particular
trade, and will be supplied with the necessary equipment to complete this training.
