Welcome to Alvogen

Welcome to Alvogen, where we are carving a leadership position in an emerging "third" category of prescription drugs beside branded pharmaceuticals and commoditized generics. While we are not the first specialty generics company, we are among the very first to focus exclusively on this promising niche market.

In comparison to commodity generics, which are sold almost exclusively on price, specialty generics offer a value-added component, such as patches or transdermal products, inhaled medications, extended release medications or other delivery features. They also offer distinct benefits to both patients and society. By producing fewer side effects or providing greater convenience, specialty pharmaceuticals promote greater compliance.

As we chart our course going forward, we do so from a unique triad of growth drivers. The first is our affiliated Norwich Pharmaceuticals business in upstate New York, a 375,000 square foot, state of the art pharmaceutical manufacturing center, with a superb record of serving global customers and meeting quality and compliance requirements for regulatory agencies worldwide.

The second growth driver is our affiliation with SuMas Pharmaceutical Group (SPG) and our ability to leverage its extensive product portfolios and development pipelines in the Middle East, North Africa and Europe, as well as its R&D centers and production facilities across that region.

Finally, Alvogen continues to attract additional investment from its shareholders. Funds are being applied to building an expanded and strengthened technology base at our Norwich, NY facilities and to expanding our already extensive pipeline of Specialty Generic drugs.

We continue our efforts to fully leverage our outsourcing business, expand our high-tech manufacturing capabilities and intensify our focus on the development and marketing of specialty generic medications through partnerships, alliances, mergers and acquisitions.

These are indeed eventful and inspiring times for all of us at Alvogen. We hope you will follow our progress with interest, and I encourage you to contact me or my colleagues directly with any questions about our company or the exciting vision we have to create a new world of specialty generics.
