Alvogen CEO Robert Wessman visits Maltese office

Business
12 April 2016

Robert Wessman, the Chairman and CEO of Alvogen, visited the company‘s Maltese operation at the beginning of April. The purpose of the stopover was to visit local colleagues and meet with the Maltese Life Sciences Park CEO, Joseph Sammut. This gave Alvogen an opportunity to further strengthen its relationship with the Maltese authorities and to provide greater insight into its current activities and future plans.

Mr. Sammut, has supported Alvogen’s efforts in setting up Alvogen’s Malta operation, which opened in 2014 and currently employs more than 40 people. Alvogen’s present focus in Malta is on, among other things, technical services, the global supply chain and financial planning and analysis. Alvogen’s Maltese operations also show great potential for further development, and Alvogen is currently exploring the possibility of setting up analytical laboratories in the Malta Life Sciences Park.

“It’s always a great pleasure to visit this wonderful island,” Robert Wessman commented, “its strategic location close to three continents makes it truly unique. It was a pleasure to meet with Mr. Sammut and his colleagues and we had some very fruitful discussions.”
