For Alvogen Community Day, Alvogen Bulgaria took part in the country’s biggest team building event – a Charity Business Run, which takes place every year. It’s a corporate relay race, in which teams complete 16 kilometers and major part of the fees go to charity.

Over 240 teams took part in this year’s Charity Business Run and Alvogen participated in the relay race with 3 teams of four people each - Play as One, Run for Fun, and Alvo-fusion. Compared to other companies, Alvogen impressed with the high number of employees in relation to the size of the company.

Running 4 kilometers was a walk in the park for some and a challenge for others but what matters is that everyone got to the finish line and had fun. Most importantly, by taking part in the run, Alvogen Bulgaria made a difference by contributing to two charities.

The first charity cause provides occupational therapy for children and young adults with disabilities and deprived of parental care. Occupational therapy is a therapeutic approach that helps people with disabilities to participate in social life by learning to perform everyday activities such as cooking, taking care of the household, gardening and helping them become more in dependent.

The second cause supports children with special needs through physiotherapy, rehabilitation and modified swimming to grow up as independent adults and to have a chance for a successful life. The main goal of the foundation is to help children with cerebral palsy, polio, obstetric brachial plexus injury, visual and hearing disorders, musculoskeletal, Perthes disease, Down syndrome, hemophilia and others.
