Alvogen Kicks Off in Innsbruck

Business
04 February 2015

Alvogen held its annual Kick-off in the Austrian city of Innsbruck this January. This event has now become a fixed feature in the Alvogen calendar and is hosted in a different country at the beginning of every year to bring its senior management team from around the globe together for an annual leadership meeting. This year there were more than 85 company executives in attendance and, as is the tradition, their principal mission was to discuss business plans and identify key areas for the coming year. During these intensive few days, Alvogen’s Chairman and CEO Robert Wessman and other members of his global team delivered presentations on their regions and business units, while members of various divisions met to discuss future strategies and objectives.

“We are seeing challenges and opportunities in our industry like never before, driven by the tremendous force of changing market conditions,” Robert Wessman commented. “Our annual leadership meeting is where we reflect on these challenges and devise our strategy for success in the coming year. Alvogen is a big league player now and we're looking forward to another exciting year of growth ahead".

This year the guest speaker was the three time winter Olympian Jamaican Bobsled Team Captain Devon Harris, who delivered a highly entertaining and inspiring pep talk about the need to follow our dreams and keep on pushing whatever the obstacles.

This Innsbruck meeting was only the first of Alvogen’s annual Kick-off meetings in 2015. In the coming weeks, each country manager in the Alvogen offices in 35 countries will host local town hall meetings to present the group’s goals, priorities and vision for 2015, along with local plans for the exciting year ahead.
