This year, Alvogen has been the largest corporate sponsor of UNICEF in Iceland and through the company's citizenship program, Alvogen for Africa, it has been working with the charity to support projects including famine relief efforts in the Sahel region of West Africa. The work has already made a significant difference to thousands of children. On the occasion of Red Nose Day, Alvogen's CEO Robert Wessman renewed the company's agreement with UNICEF, pledging to continue support for additional projects such as helping children in Madagascar obtaining an education and other programs that focus on building young lives in Africa.

Red Nose Day is a fundraising event where participants purchase red foam noses and wear them for the day to put a smile on people's faces and raise money for UNICEF.

"As usual the team at Alvogen Iceland had a great time supporting a great cause", commented Halldor Kristmannsson, Vice President of Branding & Communication at Alvogen. "We are honored to be UNICEF’s largest corporate supporter in Iceland and look forward to continue to make a difference for children".
