Color Run more colorful than ever!

Charity
13 June 2016

Last Saturday the city of Reykjavik was splashed with colors as more than 12,000 runners of all ages, shapes and sizes took to the streets to participate in the second edition of the now world-famous Color Run in Iceland. Alvogen is the principal sponsor of this event in Iceland and runners took on a five-kilometer course around Reykjavik.

The race was untimed and participants, who initially wear white, were splashed in colored powder as they completed each kilometer. The Color Run was founded in March 2011 as an event to promote health and happiness – two values that are very close to Alvogen’s heart and philosophy. The run now takes place in over thirty countries worldwide including, for the second time this year, Iceland.

Once more the race was a sell-out this year and raised $50,000, which will be donated to Icelandic charities engaged in child rights and welfare.
