Alvogen US Social Media Guidelines

Alvogen, and all Alvogen Group US subsidiaries and affiliates, including Almatica and Almaject, views social media as an opportunity to share what is important to us, stay close to our community, and hear your voices.  However, we operate in a highly regulated industry and cannot allow some conversations on our social media channels.  If you post to one of our social media channels, or otherwise respond to or comment on one of our posts, you are agreeing to abide by these social media guidelines.  

Promotion of Products or Services

If your post or comment references a pharmaceutical product manufactured by an Alvogen company or any other company, we will remove it, regardless of whether the post or comment is positive or negative.  

Adverse Events and Product Complaints

We want to hear about any issues you might have experienced with one of our products.  However, social media is not the most appropriate forum to tell us about these issues. Please report all potential adverse events or product complaints using alvogensmb@continuumindia.com.  If you do share a potential adverse event or product complaint with us via social media, we may follow up with you and ask for more information.

Medical Advice

Given the serious implications unsolicited and unverified medical advice might have, we will remove any posts that convey medical advice.  

Although the authors of our posts are knowledgeable about the topics and fields they write about, please keep in mind that our posts are informational and should not be viewed as professional or medical advice for your particular health circumstances.  If you have questions regarding a treatment or medication, please consult your healthcare provider.

Off-Topic / Respect

We welcome everyone’s opinion, and our social media accounts are an open space for users interested in discussing the topics published by Alvogen.  

To keep our open space safe, we may delete messages that: 

  • Include profanity, defamatory, libelous, offensive, abusive, discriminatory or demeaning language or content (including images, videos and links);
  • Are disparaging, threatening, condone violence or illegal behavior;
  • Are excessively repetitive and/or disruptive to the community or are spam; and/or
  • Violate the platform's Terms of Use

Personal Information

Please be respectful of privacy.  Do not post personal, health, or confidential information about yourself, patients, or anyone else.  Keep in mind that revealing your relationships with someone (e.g., “My sister…”) could identify the other person.  We may use and store information you share with us, or otherwise provide us voluntarily, for specific purposes (e.g., to report an adverse event). Just in Case

There is a chance we will encounter a situation not outlined above which will require us to remove your post or comment.  We’ll try to update this list if we do find a new reason, but please know that Alvogen reserves the right to delete any posting at its sole discretion.
